What does Courtenay like to do in her spare time ….
I love to dance, it energises and relaxes me, I can really let everything go and really be myself. I enjoy it so much! I like to spend time with my friends and my boyfriend. I like to go to the cinema and the beach in the summer. I read books and study for my A levels to get good grades.
What’s your favourite food?
I love my mum’s roast dinner with roast potatoes, vegetables, and Yorkshire puddings smothered in gravy! It’s so good!
Favourite Band / music
To be honest I like almost any type of music that’s in the charts apart from screamo! I love drum and bass and dubstep (blame the boyfriend) especially Pendulum. I also love Jason Mraz and The Script for chilling out too. Katy Perry is also a favourite of mine. Another passion however is musicals I enjoy having a good singalong to productions such as Legally Blonde, Shrek the Musical and Wicked!
Favourite film?
My all time favourite film when I was a child was Parent Trap I watched it 24/7. Nowadays I like watching all types of films, I don’t really have a particular favourite, however Avatar is an amazing film. I do enjoy thrillers and horror films especially.
Do you have any pets?
Yes I have 3 Cats called Saffy, Elfie and Blue who are all so cute but can be extremely annoying waking you up at 3am to have a cuddle!
You live in Worthing, what’s it like? Have you lived there all of your life?
I have lived in Worthing all my life and I’m sad to say it’s not one of the most exciting towns I have to admit. We a basic small town and a few cinemas and theatre but the main reason I love Worthing is because we live right on the Seafront so the summer is always great fun with friends and family! Worthing is also near everything main cities like Brighton, London and Portsmouth aren’t that far away!
What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are dancing, singing and acting. I’ve been dancing since the age of 4 and have trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap and Contemporary dance. I enjoy it very much it is a major part of my life and it has given me the confidence to perform on stage. I love musicals and have been in many productions at school and outside school, I’ve performed in Musicals such as High School Musical, The Return to the Forbidden Planet and Seussical the Musical with a charity called Anyone4Theatre.
How did you do at school ? Did you enjoy being at school ? any qualifications ?
I worked extremely hard at school and received good grades that I was extremely proud of. I did enjoy going to school it meant I was able to do something, gain skills and knowledge and see my friends. I received 3 A*, 6 A’s, 1 B and 2 C’s at GCSE level and I am currently studying A level Biology, Statistics and Photography.
Do you have / want a boyfriend?
Yes I do have a boyfriend called Kane and we’ve been together for over 3 years now and I love him to pieces! We do so much together I couldn’t ask for a better person, he means the world to me.
What’s the most exciting or dramatic thing that has happened in your life so far?
I think the most exciting thing in my life that’s happened so far would be winning Miss Fresh Teen because so much has come from it, I mean flying to America for a week was just incredible because I had never been to Florida before. And to think that this competition could help me get into a definite modelling career would be awesome!
Do you have any famous relatives?
No unfortunately no! might have somewhere done the line!
Do you work or are you studying?
I work part time as a Customer Assistant at my local store which isn’t the best job in the world but its money! I am studying at College full time and hope to continue onto further education
Who is your inspiration and why?
My inspiration is my mum. She’s always been there for me and supported everything I’ve done throughout my whole life and I appreciate her so much. She’s brought me up, as a single parent, to be polite and respect everything and everyone. I’ve had a great life and couldn’t thank her enough!
